The most beloved Traveler

Baba says, “The one Traveler is making all of you beautiful. He is such a most beloved Traveler.”

This is a play, Baba explains, about changing from beautiful to ugly and then back to beautiful. For half the cycle, I was beautiful, that is, I was pure. My every thought, feeling, word and action, my vision and attitude were all pure. I was selfless and generous, naturally. And because I, the soul, was naturally beautiful, I also had a body that was naturally beautiful. The level of my purity determined the level of purity of the elements. Then midway through the cycle, I forgot who I am and Whose I am and fell prey to the vices. I made bad choices as a result of operating on the basis of vices and lost all my purity and with it, my peace, happiness and contentment. When I became impure, the elements also became impure and that was reflected in the quality of the body I received. The deities of the golden and silver ages were ever-healthy, wealthy and happy. But when they descended into becoming the impure humans of the copper and iron ages, the health, wealth and happiness dwindled.

Now, the Beautiful Traveler comes and makes me beautiful once again. Each soul who comes is satopradhan at first and then goes through the stages of sato, rajo and tamo. Why? because it is the law: anything new has to become old. Only God is ever pure, ever beautiful, because He doesn’t come into the cycle of birth and death. And so only He is uniquely qualified to make all souls who have now become ugly, beautiful again. He simply says: “Remember Me, the Father. The fire of yoga is needed to destroy your sins. Have remembrance again and again.” It’s like purifying gold that has alloy mixed into it. The only way to do it is to melt the gold and that happens only at an extremely high temperature. When the gold is heated, the alloy melts away and only the pure gold is left behind. Similarly, only when I remember the Father can His love give me the power to transform tough sanskars, burn away the negativity, break through the strongholds. I have impurities that have been embedded in me for half a cycle that I have to burn away in this one short birth. And so Baba says, “Remember Me constantly, again and again.” That doesn’t mean I sit in one place all day and try to remember, no. A child remembers the Father or a lover remembers the Beloved naturally all through the day while walking, eating and going about their activities.

He explains everything in such an easy manner but some still forget and divorce such a Grandfather“, says Baba. Therefore, He says, “if you want to see the greatest fools of all as well as the wisest of all, see them here.” I simply have to understand two very easy aspects, Baba points out: I have to understand that I am a soul and that God is the incorporeal Supreme Soul, my Grandfather. He gives me the inheritance through Prajapita Brahma. If I develop a doubtful intellect and leave Brahma, then I also leave the Grandfather and then my inheritance will end. Brahmins emerge from the lotus mouth of Brahma, explains Shiv Baba and so if I think that I can have a direct connection with Shiv Baba without going through Brahma, then I am deceiving myself. Another way I deceive myself is when I think: “I am Baba’s child anyway…of course, I love Him..”. However, just thinking of myself as the child won’t do, I actually need to fulfill the relationship by following the Father’s directions. That takes power which I only receive when I have remembrance throughout the day, not just for 30mins. My fortune begins the moment I come into the lap of the Mother and Father; by saying ‘Mama and Baba’, I become one with the right to heaven. But what status will I receive in heaven, how long will I get to experience heaven, -that all depends on the level of self-transformation now. The better I study, follow the Father’s directions for my life, the more I transform and the higher the status I claim.

When asked, I say: “Baba, I will marry Shri Narayan or Shri Lakshmi.” However, I then forget, points out Baba. When I constantly have the aim in my intellect, then I will also develop the qualifications. The inheritance of a physical father, which is his property, is normally shared out. Here, there is no question of anything being shared out, explains Baba. Here, I have to make effort for this. The Father, the Ever Beautiful one, travels from His home, the land of purity and peace, to this impure and peaceless world at this auspicious confluence age to make all souls pure, that is, beautiful. He is therefore the most beloved Traveler. You too are travelers from the same land, you came here 5000 years ago to play your parts in this unlimited drama, He reminds me. You’re therefore My long-lost and now found children and I have come to take you back home. And so He says repeatedly: “Remember Me alone. Don’t love bodily beings. Keep it in your intellects that you belong to the one Father and that He is everything for you.
