Write a letter to the Father

Baba says, “Some children don’t remember the Father even once a month; they don’t write any letters to Him.

God Himself, the Ever Pure One, comes to this most impure world just for me, His child. It’s been 5000 years since I left home and He comes to find me and take me back home. He sees what Maya, Ravan have done to me; they’ve made me forget who He is and how I’m related to Him. He reminds me. At that moment of recognition, when that awareness returns, I realize: Yes, this is the same Father for Whom I’d been searching. I say: ‘My Baba’ from my heart and I hear the Father say: ‘My child’. I can barely contain my tears of happiness on being reunited with the Father. I will never leave Him now for even a second, I think to myself. But then, as time goes by, I get busy again in that same old world that I had died alive from and as ridiculous as it sounds, forget the Father.

You are the sweet children of the Mother and Father. After saying “Mama, Baba”“, He cautions, “don’t forget them tomorrow. If you do, you lose the inheritance.

The Father doesn’t give me any difficulty, He doesn’t make me leave my home or my family. All He says is: Follow the Father’s directions for your life. “Never forget such a Father who has come just for you.“, says Baba. “You forget the Father who comes to give you the sovereignty of heaven but happily write a letter to the father who gives you the property of hell.“, He complains. If a letter doesn’t come, the parents get worried and think that perhaps the child is ill. Here too, the unlimited Father thinks: “I don’t know what the condition of the child is.” He waits for their letters.

He is not just my Father who sustains me with a lot of love but He is also my Teacher who teaches me every day and my Satguru who guides me at every step. He is all three in One. “Some of you still remember your gurus, but you forget the Father who gives you constant happiness and makes you into the master of the land of truth. You don’t even write to Him.“, He points out. The Father becomes worried: “Has Maya killed the child or pushed them into vice?” As a child, if I am facing a storm or any issue for that matter, it is my duty to tell the Father about it. Then, He can give me caution, advice, or the remedy. But often, I feel shame or guilt and rather than go to the Father, I shrink back and hide. This is body consciousness. Sometimes I think: “Well, Brahma Baba is elderly. How would he experience storms?” Baba says, “Everything comes to me first. How else would I be able to caution you? However some children don’t tell Baba. They choke in the storms and die and destroy their status.” This is why the Father says: “At least write a letter to Baba!

You have to perform good actions, He tells me. And if I have to do something that I don’t understand, then take shrimat, He says. “You should repeatedly ask by letter.” When I do, then Baba responds via the Murli. Then, I experience great happiness: “God responded to my question; I now know what to do. It’s going to be okay!” It is those who are in bondage, especially, that experience the most happiness, points out Baba. “I am in bondage and yet the Father has written to me!” They experience goose pimples, have tears of love. They kiss it and lift the letter to their eyes. They read the letter (Murli) with a lot of love. They understand that Shiv Baba has taken loan of the hands of Brahma to write them a letter. Only after 5000 years will they receive such a letter from Baba again. So they think: “Why should I not write a letter to Baba daily?” They write with their kajal stick (eye makeup). They have such thoughts and write: “Baba, I’m the same gopika of the previous cycle. I will definitely claim my inheritance from You.” But those who are free often forget to write to the Father, they don’t have the time!, points out Baba. When children’s letters arrive after a long gap, then it is understood, He says, that they don’t remember Baba fully, that their intellect has doubt. “Even if you just write a card, that too would be remembering the Father“, says Brahma Baba. “What does He ask of us? Nothing at all! He is the Bestower. He is the One who gives His all. He doesn’t take anything. Why wouldn’t a child write to such a Father?

The Father has so much concern for the children. Sometimes, maybe I’m feeling unwell but then I have to let Baba know that. Even if it is one line: “Baba, I’m not feeling well today” before going to bed. If I don’t inform Him, then He understands that this is not an illness of the body but the illness of body consciousness. This illness is very severe, cautions Baba. Some have the wrong intoxication of knowledge; they have arrogance. “Such children“, He explains, “neither remember the Father nor write Him. How can the Father then remember you?“, He asks. Remembrance begets remembrance. This doesn’t mean that the Father forgets about me, no; God never forgets His children. But because I don’t have Him in my awareness, I don’t experience His love for me.

This is a game of victory and defeat, explains Baba. Those who are defeated by Maya are defeated by everything. You know that you are becoming the masters of the world through Baba. You should have this intoxication permanently. Don’t allow this intoxication to break. You are studying with the Father who is the Creator of the world. You are becoming Narayan from an ordinary man and Lakshmi from an ordinary woman. It never happens that a student forgets his study or his teacher. So, why should we forget Him here?
