Supersensuous joy

Baba says, “Supersensuous joy” means soul-conscious happiness which is imperishable.

The greatest treasure of the confluence age is the supersensuous joy which cannot be experienced in any other age. Even in the golden age, I will not speak about supersensuous joy, it is the treasure of this time. “And so you should remember it constantly“, says Baba. To remember it is to experience it. Those who stay in this experience will not have the happiness of the senses. On the same token, those who don’t constantly experience supersensuous joy are attracted towards the pleasure of the senses. “You have already experienced pleasure through the senses. That temporary happiness is filled with sorrow. Now that you understand it as sorrow, why are you still attracted to it?

I know God, I have accepted Him and have attained Him! When the Master of the World has become yours, then the world is yours, isn’t it?, asks Baba. Just as when the seed is in your hands, the tree is yours anyway, you have now found the One whom you were searching for. You found God while sitting at home, and so there should be so much happiness. “God made me belong to Him.” Maintain this happiness and your vision will not be drawn anywhere else. Even while looking at something in front of you, you will not see it. You found the Father, you found everything. This is the greatest happiness of all. Let your mind dance in this happiness. What else can be of greater happiness than this?, He asks. This is why it is remembered: If you want to know about supersensuous joy, ask the gopes and gopis.

When I write my name, I write: B.K So-and-so; in other words, I acknowledge that I am now a child of God through Brahma. I now belong to Him and He belongs to me. The Fortune-Maker is my Father practically at this time and He has given me free reign to write my own fortune, create my own destiny. What else could I want? What I have attained is beyond my wildest imagination and yet, if I don’t constantly swing in the swing of super-sensuous joy, then why? To be drawn by the limited, perishable attractions of the old life is a sign of lack of attainment in this birth. The reason for not experiencing full attainment of this birth is a lack of purity somewhere or another. The reason there is a lack of purity is because there is a gap in following shrimat somewhere or another.

Sometimes, I have forged the three main relationships with the Father but not all; I have one or two relationships with human souls which inevitably go up and down and with it my stage goes up and down as well. Baba’s # 1 shrimat is: “Mine is one Baba and none other”. If I break this shrimat, then nothing else works. I cannot experience super-sensuous joy. Sometimes, I am drawn by name and fame- when I get it, I am happy but then I don’t get it, I take sorrow. Baba’s shrimat is “Be pure, be Raja Yogi”. To be a yogi is not a career, it implies renunciation of the old world and it’s trappings, it’s ways. If I am still craving name and fame, I haven’t left the iron age and so I don’t experience super-sensuous joy because that can only be experienced in the confluence age. Sometimes, it is the behavior of others that causes me sorrow but then Baba’s shrimat is: ‘See but don’t see, hear but don’t hear’. If I allow my eyes and ears to get busy with what others are saying and doing, I will not have time left to look at myself. “Have pure feelings for the self and others“, says Baba. “Since you are world transformers, then even the five elements are included in world transformation. If you are ones that can transform those, then can you not transform yourself, your companions and your family?“, He asks. “If someone is causing you sorrow, you mustn’t take it. Your slogan is: Give happiness and receive happiness. Do not take sorrow and do not cause sorrow. If someone causes you sorrow, then transform it and give them happiness in return. Make them happy and you will then be called a master bestower of happiness.”

It is the attraction of the senses that gives sorrow – whether it is in terms of wanting name and fame, whether it is seeing and hearing what others are doing/saying or whether it is relationships, possessions etc. Because of the different attractions, there is an obstruction created in my experiencing supersensuous joy and happiness. “So learn to keep the intellect stable in one place, let there be a constant stage“, teaches Baba. “Do not let it move.
