BapDada’s wish: Be an angel

Baba says, “This year, BapDada wishes to see everyone as walking, moving angels.

The aim of the confluence age is to change from human to deity. But I cannot become a deity without first becoming an angel. The sequence is: human to Brahmin to angel to deity.

The meaning of angel is a soul who has no attraction to the old world, old sanskars or old bodies. “You have to pass in all three.“, says Baba, “become free from all three.” Even in terms of inheritance, I first have the inheritance of liberation before liberation-in-life. I cannot go into liberation-in-life without going via the land of liberation. An angel means one who is liberated. A liberated angel becomes a deity who is liberated-in-life. “So“, asks Baba, “to what extent have you become angels? Or are you pleased with just being Brahmins?

To become an angel means to have love for Brahma Baba, the first angel of God. Brahma Baba does not accept that a soul has love for him if that soul does not have love for the angelic stage, says the Father. The meaning of love is to become equal. “Brahma Baba became an angel and is waiting in the world of angels to make all of you into angels. So do not“, says Baba, “simply say with your lips that you have so much love for the Father that you cannot even express your love in words. Brahma Baba is not pleased by you just speaking about it, but he becomes pleased when you become the same.” Speaking, He points out, is easy, even devotees speak about it! They sing many songs of love, however, they are simply words “whereas you“, He points out, “are those that become the same.” If all I do is speak about it, then understand, Baba explains, “there is still a trace of devotion remaining in you.” I couldn’t be called an enlightened soul, a yogi soul, but I would be called a ‘devotee yogi’ (gyani bhagat) soul .

While walking and moving around, increase the experience of the angelic form, He teaches. Increase the experience of the bodiless stage. Be double-light in your nature and sanskars in order to finish any thoughts within a second. Sometimes I argue saying that I am in fact double-light but that others are unable to see it. That’s not possible, says Baba. The light of angels who are double-light cannot remain hidden. “Even a lit matchstick cannot remain hidden, whereas this is spiritual light, and so through your atmosphere, give everyone the experience of who you are“, He teaches. To harmonize with everyone’s sanskars means to be an angel. Seeing sanskars of others, I become disheartened. I think: Baba is very good, Father Brahma is very good, the knowledge is very good, the attainment is very good but when it comes to other souls, we are not as excited. On the same token, I also get impressed by certain souls: “This one’s lecture is very good, this one has this talent” etc. but whether I am disheartened or impressed, they become obstacles in my becoming an angel. The key is to remain a detached observer of others and the drama. Then, I am able to be loving to all without any bias.

An angel has love for everyone, everyone should say “mine” but two things, Baba teaches, create obstacles to such an angelic stage. 1) awareness (bhan) of the body and 2) arrogance (abhiman) of the body. As I progress on the path of knowledge, I encounter my own ego or arrogance: “Am I any less? everyone loves my lectures. The service I do creates an impact. The way I give courses is so good.” Check this, says Baba. The way I know if I have arrogance of the body is that I feel easily insulted when my idea, or advice, talent or specialty is ignored or not given the respect I think it deserves. Then that creates anger and a feeling of bossiness emerges. “That does not allow you to become angels“, explains Baba.

Reveal in your life the angelic form, the last form of the confluence age“, says Baba. “Bring it into the corporeal form. Check yourself: There isn’t any attachment to your own specialty or to someone else’s even in a subtle way, is there?“, He teaches. Sometimes, even over a trivial matter, my stage fluctuates. Then, instead of having a happy and hearty face, I have a face full of thoughts, or full of worry and while moving along, I become weighed down. Father Brahma was light; in his last stages especially, when children would go to him to relate news of situations, they would even have come with plans: “I will tell Baba about this and this, I will ask Baba this.” but then when they came in front of Baba, they would forget what they had to say. This, Baba explains, is the angelic stage.

So make this thought or lesson firm,” says Baba: ““I am an angel.” Remain beyond situations, specialties be it yours or others’, and the awareness of the body. Be a double-light angel because without becoming an angel, you cannot claim the high status of a deity.” Sure, I will still go to the golden age because I have become the child but I will not receive an elevated status. “You made the promise“, Baba reminds me, “that you will always remain together, that you will rule together.” So, He says, be a self-sovereign over a long period of time, not just every now and then. An angel is a self-sovereign.
