Baba says, “Only you children know that there are physical pilgrimage places and the spiritual pilgrimage place.“
There are physical pilgrimages and then there is the spiritual pilgrimage. The whole world knows about those pilgrimages, but only the Father and I, that is, the Supreme Soul and I, the incorporeal soul, know of this spiritual pilgrimage. At this most auspicious confluence age, the Supreme Father, Supreme Soul, is teaching me this pilgrimage through the body of Brahma. Neither has anyone heard of this from the scriptures nor can any of the scholars or pundits teach this pilgrimage. In those pilgrimages, the pilgrims endure many hardships, here, I undertake this spiritual pilgrimage while sitting at home! “This is a wonderful pilgrimage“, explains Baba, “you don’t have to go anywhere for it. All you have to do is become soul conscious.” For half a cycle, I forgot who I am and believed that I am a body. Now, the Father has come and reminded me that I am in fact a pure soul, not the body. To have this faith that I am a soul is not like going to your aunty’s home!, says Baba. I repeatedly forget who I am and slip back into body consciousness. Unless I have the faith and consider myself a soul, I cannot connect with the Supreme Soul. This is the effort.
There are many types of physical pilgrimages but only one spiritual pilgrimage. This is a pilgrimage for a kingdom. The world doesn’t know the biography of the ones they worship; they don’t know how Lakshmi and Narayan claimed their status by going on this spiritual pilgrimage of Raja Yoga. They were not new souls that came from up above to whom God gave the kingdom. No; they were made new from old; the souls were renewed through the power of Raja Yoga. This, is a study, explains Baba, here you learn the true story of becoming a true Narayan, that is, of becoming Narayan from an ordinary human. The Father Himself comes and teaches me Raja Yoga and the knowledge, and so my pilgrimage continues. Whether sitting or moving around, my pilgrimage continues. This is a pilgrimage of remembrance– I remember that I am a pure soul, a child of God. I do everything in this awareness. People who go on those physical pilgrimages remain pure for the duration of those pilgrimages and then return right back to their sinful ways. Through this spiritual pilgrimage of remembrance, my sins are absolved such that I become like brand new; I return to my original pure state. I don’t commit sin and return to this old, impure world. I sacrifice the vices into the sacrificial fire of knowledge and return home, to the land of purity, with the Father.
The Supreme Soul speaks to souls: “O beloved children, souls, you now have to come to Me. I am teaching you a pilgrimage. Remain pure for this one birth. Unless you become pure, you cannot come to Me. Souls are pure.” It is a pilgrimage of peace, a pilgrimage of going to the land of peace. And so God says: Manmanbhav! It means: “belong to Me alone in your mind.” Why? because only the Father can guide me on this pilgrimage. When someone goes on a pilgrimage, they ask all their close family members whether they will go on the pilgrimage with them. Similarly, the Father asks me: “Will you go on this spiritual pilgrimage?” Only He can teach me this pilgrimage. He alone knows the way to the sweet home. Physical guides can become spiritual, but the spiritual Guide cannot become physical. One cannot become a guide to a place they don’t know. There isn’t anyone who has seen the sweet home and take me there. They don’t even know the sweet home! The wings of souls have been cut off. Souls cannot receive wings until the Father comes. No one can mend them until then. Only by considering myself a soul and remembering Him can I receive wings. Everyone has to return. Some, the Father explains, become conquerors of sin with the power of yoga and others settle their karmic accounts with punishment. It’s a choice I get to make- do I want to take this pilgrimage with the Supreme Guide?
