Mine is the one Father and none other

Baba says, “all of you have promised to belong to the one Father and none other.”

There are two types of children, says Baba. One type are those that recognize the Father and the other are those who call out to Him and are trying to recognize Him. The type that recognize Him are just a handful and to be one of those handful, that is, to have received this divine Brahmin birth is the most elevated fortune. Even the children who have no knowledge and are calling out believe that God created them – they say: God is the Creator and the Sustainer. But they don’t appreciate exactly how He is that. I, however, say those words based on experience. I have the intoxication and knowledge that BapDada, that is, the Mother and the Father, created me; He gave me Brahmin birth.

In fact, I clearly remember the day of my divine birth- an extraordinary birthday. How so? Ordinarily, people celebrate their birthday, the day they started their education, their wedding day, friendship day separately. But for me, my birthday is the same as the day I started my education and it is also the day I was wedded. Not just that, it is also my Mother’s day, and my Father’s day…it’s all the same day! It’s all the same day because, my whole world is the one Father. He is also my Teacher and my Satguru. He is also my Husband and my best Friend. And as soon as I take this birth, He sustains me, He teaches me, He guides me and fulfills all my relationships. This is the return for the determined thought I have from the start: Mine is the one Father and none other. I promise to eat only with Him, sit with Him and fulfill all my relationships with Him and so my mind cannot go anywhere else.

Are you firm to this extent or do you need a companion?“, asks Baba.

Whether you give service or take service, do that and then become so detached and loving that there isn’t the slightest feeling of obligation”, He teaches. Often, when someone helps me in service, I feel a sense of debt or obligation to them. I consider them special and subconsciously, I give them a special right over me. This is impure attachment, teaches Baba. It leads to desires, expectations and inevitably, to disappointments. And so Baba says, at the time of doing service, be service companions but in the stage of observers. I am a soul and my service companion is also a soul, we are both playing our parts, that’s all. The One getting everything done is the Father; it is His service. “When you forget the stage of being an observer and become companions, you forget the Father. Practice playing your part as an observer”, He teaches. Similarly, I learn to use my body, mind and wealth as a trustee, that is, according to the Father’s directions. Even though I may have a job and make an earning, I eat from what is the Father’s because everything belongs to the Father. So I eat from what is the Father’s, not what ‘I have earned’. The income I have earned, I hand over to the Father, that is, I use it per His directions. I do prepare food for myself but I believe that I am eating Brahma bhojan. I offer the food to the Father first (bhog) which means I eat what has come from Him. I think, speak, act, eat…do everything per the Father’s directions. This is called experiencing Godly sustenance.

People of the world say that God is the Sustainer, that He is the Bestower of Life but they don’t even have the introduction of the Bestower of Life, whereas I explain with intoxication how God is the Bestower of Life and the Sustainer. The practical form of sustenance received from the Father is that I become worthy and the practical form of the sustenance received from the Mother (Brahma) is that I become powerful. I have both these experiences and so Baba says, “play your part while keeping the specialty and uniqueness of this birth in your awareness and become master almighty authorities.
