Remain stable in the remembrance of the One

Baba says, “In order to make your stage constant and stable, remain constantly stable in the remembrance of the One.”

The Father is called the Innocent Lord in His form of the Bestower of Blessings because He is very quickly pleased. But it is important to know the way to please the Lord for then it becomes very easy to achieve success, that is, to have my apron filled with blessings. “Do you know the easiest way to please the Bestower of Blessings? What is that He loves the most?“, asks Baba. He loves the word ‘one’ the most. The children who continue to be faithful to the One (Ekvrata– ek:one) from the beginning are deeply loved by the Bestower of Blessings.

To be faithful to the One is not just in terms of purity, but in terms of all relationships: it is not to have anyone else in my thoughts or even in my dreams. To be faithful to the One means constantly to have just the One in my attitude. “You have made a firm vow of always belonging to the One and none other“, He reminds me. But some children, He points out, are rather ‘clever’ in being faithful to the One. They say: “I do have the main relationships of Father, Teacher and Satguru with You. However, because of being a bodily being, because of having to live in the corporeal world, I definitely need corporeal friends for their co-operation, for their service and for their advice.”

In reality though, the Father is incorporeal and subtle and to be able to experience Him as my constant Companion, to celebrate a meeting with Him, I myself have to be subtle and incorporeal and this, I find to be difficult. This is why, at times, I feel the need for ‘corporeal companions’. For example, when my mind is cluttered, full of many things, I then feel the need for someone to tell these things to, to talk to them about it. But the truth is that, if I am a soul that is faithful to One, then I won’t accumulate such worries in the first place that I then have to talk to someone about. If I have faith in the One, if I trust that He is my constant Companion, that He is my Father who is responsible for me, then what worries or anxieties do I have? why is my mind cluttered with many things? On the one hand I say that the Father is always with me, that He lives in my heart, so then, asks Baba, where does He go at that time? is He really with you every moment or does He keep certain office hours when He is available? My promise, Baba reminds me, is that I am with Him, that I will remain with Him and that I will go back with Him. I promised Father Brahma that I will play my part with him throughout the cycle. “Since you have made such a promise, then do you still need a special companion in the physical form?“, asks Baba.

If I need service companions, then all are my companions or none of them are; but there cannot be a particularly special companion, He points out. This is called being faithful to the One. The Bestower of Blessings loves such children very much and takes upon Himself the responsibilities of such children at every moment. Such blessed souls experience the stage of being full of the attainment of blessings at every moment and in every situation. They constantly overcome everything easily and pass with honors. “Since the Bestower of Blessings is ever-ready to take all responsibilities, why do you keep the burden on yourself?“, asks Baba. It is when I consider something to be my responsibility that I feel weighed down and then I am unable to pass with honors. I pass by being pushed; I need the push of someone’s company. This is why, Baba explains, I become blessed numberwise.

So, He says, the Bestower likes the word ‘ek-vrata‘, faithful to One. It is said: One Strength and one Support; it is not said: The strength of one and the support of another! At the same time, “ek-mat“- I follow the directions of One, not the dictates of my own mind or those of others. “Ekras” – there isn’t any interest in any other beings or possessions. In the same way, “ekta“- unity and “ekantpriya” – one who has love for solitude. So, it is the word “ek” (one) which is loved.

The Father is so innocent that He becomes pleased with just one thing! “So simply make this lesson of One firm“, He teaches, “there is no need to go into five or seven.” Those who please the Innocent Lord are sustained by blessings in every activity of their timetable right from amrit vela until night time. They move along and fly with these blessings. In every thought, every second and every action, and at every step, they experience the Bestower and His blessings to be constantly close and personally in front of them in a corporeal form. They experience it as thought they are speaking to one another in a corporeal form. The Lord is always present in front of such blessed souls. “So check“, says Baba, “if you are able to do this in a second. Simply take care to not allow two to be mixed into one, that’s all.”
