Make effort to become the most elevated human being

Baba says, “make full effort at this most auspicious confluence age to become the most elevated human beings.”

While the rest of the whole world is in the iron-age, a handful of souls that have recognized God experience being in the confluence age. While the rest of the whole world is still in darkness, the handful of souls have stepped into the light, that is, they have become enlightened. They see the contrast between the old world that exists around them and new world that is being established with their divine eye or the third eye of knowledge. While others continue to lead an ordinary existence, I am becoming the most elevated human-being. Such is my great fortune!

Do you always experience being a confluence-aged, most elevated soul?“, asks Baba. The confluence age is called the most elevated because it is the age during which I become the most elevated human being out of all human beings. “So, are you confluence aged?“, He asks again.

First- I am a soul, not the body. I, the soul am the being and the body is just matter. So ‘most elevated being’ means a highest soul. The number one most elevated being is Brahma Baba. This is why Brahma is called Adi Dev. Brahma became the first angel of God, and also in the future, he becomes the first deity soul and so he becomes most elevated. Lakshmi and Narayan are the most elevated human beings- this is my aim also. So this is the most elevated age and I, the soul, am the most elevated.

The duty of the most elevated souls is also the most elevated!, Baba points out.

I don’t perform ordinary actions but no matter what task I might be doing, I maintain an elevated awareness and an elevated stage so that anyone who sees me experiences that I am not an ordinary person. For instance, a real diamond may be hidden in the dust but it will definitely reveal its sparkle; it cannot remain hidden. This life of mine is also as valuable as a diamond, it should reveal its sparkle, explains Baba. No matter what the atmosphere is like, no matter what the gathering is like, just as a diamond cannot hide its sparkle, in the same way, everyone should experience my sparkle. Maybe I’m at work or at school, do I allow the atmosphere and the gathering to make me ordinary? Ordinary is getting caught up in ‘I and mine’- what I need, what I want, what I deserve, what I am entitled to, my idea, my project, my name etc. Ordinary is craving recognition, appreciation, and praise to feel valuable. Ordinary is spending time on what he/she said/did. Ordinary is what everyone else in the world does. But as a confluence-aged soul, my duty is to perform every task as a service. I use every task and opportunity not to satisfy selfish interests but to serve others. So when that colleague is having a bad day, ordinariness is to think: “I’m just going to stay out of her way.” Elevated is to go out of my way to help her out. Ordinary is to feel good when that team-mate who treated me poorly had a bad meeting and elevated is to ensure I offer her my experience and expertise. I don’t expect any return, it’s just who I am. I no longer need limited, worldly name or fame, I already have the most elevated name and fame- my name is child of God and I am the confluence aged most elevated human being. “That spiritual intoxication should be visible“, says Baba.

Sometimes, my awareness is based on the type of work I am doing. But Brahma Baba demonstrated remaining in an elevated awareness no matter what type of work he was performing. One could always see the sparkle of the most elevated being in an ordinary body. “So“, says Baba, “follow father.” It should not be that I think I am doing ordinary work and so remain in an ordinary awareness. For example, maybe I am cooking or washing clothes- the work may be ordinary but my stage must not be ordinary. I have to learn to separate my ‘who’ from my ‘do’. The task may be mundane but I am not; I am still the most elevated human being and that should always be my awareness. “Your stage should be great. It should not become ordinary.“, teaches Baba. When my stage become ordinary, I become like everyone else and then they have nothing to feel inspired about. In other words, I am not serving. “Let your face reveal the impact of an elevated life“, teaches Baba. It is said that the face is the index of the mind; it reveals the stage. If my stage is elevated, then the sparkle will automatically be elevated.

But often I even forget that I am a Brahmin of the confluence age! “It isn’t that you really and truly consider yourself to be Brahmins.”, observes Baba, “Brahmin children have to imbibe divine virtues.” It is one thing to ‘know‘ intellectually and another thing to ‘consider‘. To consider means that I remain in that awareness. I am a Brahmin of the confluence age and I am being made into the most elevated human being by Shiv Baba. Not all of you remember this“, He says, “You repeatedly forget that you are the most elevated Brahmins of the confluence age. Even if you were to keep this much in your intellect, it is a great fortune for you.” I will become the most elevated when I remember Alpha, the Father and Beta, the inheritance. Only by remembering Him will my sins be absolved and I will become like brand new. After having come into God’s lap, after having received the knowledge, if I continue to forget and commit sinful actions, then I become more and more burdened by shame, guilt, regret, disheartenment and all the rest. But when I remember who I am and what I am becoming , then I will do a lot of spiritual service through my own transformation.

Instill this in your intellect that you are the most elevated Brahmins of the confluence age“, teaches Baba. Others speak of the most elevated month or year while I speak of being the most elevated being of the most elevated age. I am now on the pilgrimage for becoming the most elevated human being. “Even if you remember this much, it is Manmanabhav!“, says Baba. I become the most elevated according to my effort and actions. I receive the most elevated directions from God Himself in order to enable me to perform the most elevated actions. It is up to me to follow them. If I am serious about becoming the most elevated human being, then I will follow shrimat accurately. I will also imbibe divine virtues. So, shrimat and divine virtues- this makes me elevated. “If you follow 10% shrimat, you will become 10% elevated, that is, you will claim 10% of your inheritance“, explains Baba. “Even while sitting in class, you don’t remember Baba, the intellect wanders here and there.“, He observes. “Check yourself daily“, He says: ” How much did I accumulate in my account today?” To keep a chart of: Did I perform any sinful action today? Did I cause sorrow to myself or to others?- this too is not a chart for Maharathis, He explains. Sure you didn’t cause anyone sorrow but did you accumulate blessings? In other words, it’s not enough to stay out of the way of that colleague or team-mate having a bad day, I need to help them with a true heart. It’s not enough to forgive those who wronged me, I have to actually love them.

While this feels like a high destination, Baba explains that in fact, this is nothing new to me. You were once elevated, then you became degraded because you forgot who you are. Now, remember, He teaches. When I remember Alpha and Beta throughout the day, then I remain happy and cheerful because I see myself transform into the most elevated human being. And so Baba says, “Make full effort. Pay as much attention as possible to remembrance and studying.
