Baba says, “First of all, you have to remember that you have to go back home. The time comes suddenly.“
There is now very little time left in the cycle, signals Baba. He also gives me the signal that, according to the present time, everything is to happen suddenly. What do these signals mean for me? It means that I have to be ever-ready. What does it mean to be ever-ready? In this one short birth, I have to create my fortune for the whole new cycle. This means I have to pay a lot of attention to every second of this most valuable confluence age because in each second is contained the opportunity to create a fortune for a long time. So knowing this value, Baba explains, I have to pay special attention to two things: 1) time and 2) thoughts. My thoughts should not be wasted and my time should not be wasted. Each second should be used in a worthwhile way. “The confluence age is the fortunate age, you can create as much fortune as you want in this age“, He explains. “However“, He says, “it requires that you pay attention over a long period of time.” I have to practice being a master of all my treasures over a long period of time by paying special attention. Not a single second can be used without my permission, no thought can be spent without my approval. “You have to make your own program. Make your own timetable to keep your mind busy. Whether you churn, serve or draw one another’s attention, keep your mind busy! Remain busy in your mind. You remain busy physically anyway, but now remain busy with your mind.”, He teaches.
Even if I am busy doing my chores, let my hands do the work while my intellect is connected with the Father or busy churning His knowledge. While walking around, let me practice experiencing myself as a soul and see others as souls too. While interacting with people, let me consider myself an angel who has incarnated to do God’s task; I finish the task and fly back to Baba. “First of all, you have to remember that you have to go back home.“, Baba reminds me. I came bodiless and I have to return bodiless. Without practice over a long period of time, I won’t be able to let go of all attachments and become bodiless in my final moments; it will be a painful struggle, I will get pulled in all the directions where I have attachments. To think, that with time I will develop disinterest automatically, is to deceive myself. “The time will come suddenly“, He points out. “Besides“, He explains, “everyone, no matter the age of the body, is now in your retirement stage. During retirement, people are told to remember God. So you should be doing the same thing.“, He says. Let me heed the call of the present time – not by looking at the limited clock but by looking at the unlimited clock of the world cycle. Let me examine if I am balanced in the way I spend my time and thoughts. Am I still overinvolved in my worldly job, am I still chasing after more physical wealth or accomplishments? There was a time to do that in the cycle; now, is not the time for the physical race, it is time for the spiritual race. “Check this“, He says.
Sometimes, I lose precious time and thoughts in going around the same mountain again and again. I know I shouldn’t behave a certain way, Baba has already given me a signal and yet, each time that soul comes before me or someone says something I don’t like, I explode. I say and do things I regret and lose time feeling badly about what happened. Then I say: “I know I shouldn’t have said what I did, I know that I should have been tolerant but I just couldn’t find the power to tolerate when I needed it.” My Father is the Almighty Authority and so as master almighty authority, it cannot be that the powers don’t show up when I need them. “The issue is that you order your powers without first being seated on your seat of being a master.“, explains Baba. When I am not seated on my seat of self-respect, there is body consciousness. There is either self-respect or there is body consciousness. When I issue an order while seated on the seat of body consciousness, that is, when I think of myself as a position or a relationship, then there is ego or attachment; there cannot be tolerance. That’s when my mind becomes clogged with thoughts such as: “how can they do this to me after all I’ve done for them”, “why did this happen to me”, “how can my own son do this to me”, “what will everyone think of me now”, etc. etc. The position or relationship causes me to waste time spinning in wrong thoughts. “So constantly practice being seated on your seat of self-respect“, says Baba. “Whether you are churning knowledge, or doing physical service, check that you are set on your seat and all the powers will become present“, He teaches.
“Keep your chart with honesty and show it to Baba daily“, He adds. Keeping my chart enables me to always remain alert as to how I am using my treasures, if my behavior was good, and if I am serving or not. Whatever area Baba is working with me on, let me keep a chart in that area such that I remember to pay special attention. The chart becomes a means to self-progress because it helps me stay accountable and not get careless. “It is now time to return home“, Baba reminds me repeatedly. “So remember three words”, He says, “Suddenly, ever-ready and practice over a long period of time.”
