You have to uplift the souls of the world

Baba says, “All the souls of the world are without this knowledge and unhappy. You have to uplift them.”

Not too long ago, I was living like an orphan, stumbling, and falling. I was constantly being judged, accepted one day, rejected the next. I was the life of the group one day, ignored the next. I was celebrated one day, betrayed the next. All I wanted was to fit in and yet, I was alone in a crowded world. I had disguised myself so many times in this attempt to fit in- changed professions, changed roles, formed new relationships, changed homes, chased after new accomplishments…- now, I longer remembered who I truly am nor did I know if there is anyone who truly loves me, gets me. Am I a failure? Am I not meant to belong? Maybe I’m an outlier…What if anything am I to do? What is it that I was created to do? I struggled with questions that no one could answer; no one could hear, let alone understand, the cries of my lonely, confused, seeking heart.

Except, God. He heard me, He got me, He responded. When I recognized my Father, I couldn’t hold back tears and said: “My Baba”. This word ‘my’ was filled with so much longing and love that the Father also said: “My child!” Love is such that it completely changes me from what I was; it breathes new life into a soul; it lights up a lamp that was almost extinguished, it fills it with hope and promise. The Father is Dilaram; through His love, He makes my heart belong to Him. I find my identity- I am not a misfit, I am a pure, elevated soul, a child of the Highest-on-High. I also find my purpose: God is here to change this land of sorrow into the land of happiness, this hell into heaven. “You have experienced this land of sorrow, you understand what it’s like to live here. Now, become the Father’s helper in rescuing His other children just as you have been rescued. You do hear the cries of their heart…don’t you?“, says the Merciful Father.

Yes, I do. I see the sorrow, the fear, the despair, the hopelessness on their faces. I see the feelings of not fitting in, the scars of trying to make it and coming up short against ever changing standards again and again. Yes, Baba, I hear the all too familiar cries of the heart. “So then”, teaches the Father, “with the power of your mind, while sitting where you are, make those souls emerge. Enable rays of happiness and peace to reach them with the power of your mind. Repeatedly continue to serve through your mind in this way because, together with the Father, you children are also world servers.” It’s good to serve through words but words without the power of the mind cannot reach hearts. Also words can only by heard by those close by but through my mind, I can serve souls far and wide. So continue to practice serving through your mind throughout the day, He stresses. There is also an added benefit for me in this: if I keep my mind busy in this way, then I will be saved from the useless and wasteful thoughts that Maya creates in between. “You won’t have to work hard“, He explains. “Serving through the mind thus gives you double benefit.

Keep your mind busy in one service or another, He guides: In giving powers through your mind, in serving through words filled with power, serving with virtues in your actions, in the service of giving happiness to your relatives and contacts. Keep your mind busy in all these types of service because you are the richest souls in the world!, He points out. No one has as many treasures as you do but not too long ago, you were bankrupted and crying out in sorrow. Your brothers and sisters are crying out right now, hear them! respond to them!, He stresses. Check, He says, how much time you are giving to serving through the mind. You are merciful just like the Father, now, have mercy for those that are unhappy. Where would they go?, He questions, they are your brothers and sisters. So benefit yourself by keeping your mind busy and also remove the sorrow of unhappy ones. They are crying out, their hearts are crying out.

BapDada hears their cries and remembers you, He says. “O My beloved child, my long lost and now-found child, now have a merciful heart.” Be co-operative with Brahmins too, He adds. No matter what type of sanskars a soul might have, your duty is not to come into conflict with that sanskar but rather it is to free that soul from the conflict. The title “Remover of Sorrow and Bestower of Happiness” is your title too, He reminds me. You are the Father’s helpers, His constant companions. You are establishing your own kingdom of peace and happiness based on the Father’s shrimat. His direction is: You have to make others similar to yourselves. You transformed from an orphan into a child with rights; now, make others those with rights too. Transform the sorrow and peacelessness of this world and bring happiness and peace. You have to do this.

Yes, it takes a lot of effort to help those stumbling understand who they are and to Whom they belong. They don’t know the Father, nor do they know their enemy, Ravan, who has caused them to forget themselves and move away from the Father. “But you mustn’t become discouraged“, teaches the Father. It is your duty to give the message and then it is in their hands to create their fortune and how much of it they create. However, they should not complain that you didn’t give them the message: “Our Father came and He came to give us the inheritance. If we knew, we would have claimed some inheritance, at least!”

The Father says: Those who renounce everything for Me and remain busy in doing service are loved a great deal. They are the ones who climb into Baba’s heart. They are the ones who continue to receive a current.
