Baba says, “You must remove your attachment from those old bodies. Not having any awareness of your bodies is your destination.”

While playing your parts, you have now reached the end of many births, Baba explains, it is now time to return home. In order to go back with Him, I need to become a point. And in order to become a point, the different types of expansion that have spread everywhere, that is, all the branches of the tree, need to be merged into the point. There is the branch of the accounts of the body, the branch of the relationships of the body, the branch of being a soul in bondage to all the comforts of the body, the branch of bondage to all the different types of sinful actions, the branch of the illness of the body….there are so many branches. The task is to now put a full-stop to all the expansion and merge into the point. “The whole tree has now reached a state of total decay and a new one is required.“, teaches Baba, “No branch of this decayed tree still remains, does it? The confluence age is the age to finish the old tree. Therefore”, asks Baba, “O Brahmins of the confluence age, have you finished the old tree?“

When I water a tree, I don’t and can’t water every leaf; I water the seed and automatically every leaf of every branch receives water. In the same way, when I have to finish the decayed tree of all the different types of accounts, I don’t cut each branch individually: today, I work on cutting away the branch of the awareness of the body, tomorrow I cut off the branch of the relationships of the body. Not only is this difficult but when I cut one branch and start working on the next, the first branch starts to grow back again. This is because a tree receives sunlight and water naturally from the environment; I don’t especially have to water it or take care of it every day. And so if I simply cut off a branch, because I am still living in the old world, the environment ensures the branch grows back.

So the method is to love the Seed, the Father, so much that the whole tree will easily burn in the fire of that love. “The basis of remembrance is love.“, says Baba. It is the love that becomes the fire that burns away all sins, all hurt, all pain and suffering, all limited relationships, old sanskars and all the rest of the expansion of the old tree. Something that is cut may grow back but something that is burnt is forever transformed. Once all the branches are burnt, then all that remains will be the soul, the point, the seed. “When you become such a point, the form of a seed, you will be able to return home beyond sound with the Father, the Seed.”, teaches Baba. When I burn the tree in the fire of the Father’s love, I start to have certain special, alokik, experiences.

The first thing I will experience, Baba explains, is that while walking, moving, sitting and talking, my body which the main trunk of this tree from which the branches emerge, will be completely separate from me the soul, the seed. I, the soul, will repeatedly and constantly experience being detached– not on the basis of the knowledge but I will experience being separate, practically. I will have the clear experience: I, the soul, am wearing this costume. Whenever I want, I adopt the costume of the awareness of the body, and whenever I want, I become detached from it. “Therefore the first sign is the experience of detachment. It’s not that I ‘have to’ become separate, but that I am separate.“, teaches Baba.

When I have the practice of experiencing myself as a soul, then all the soul wants is the Supreme Soul. And so, the second experience is that I, the soul, although I am in the corporeal world in a physical body, will constantly use my power of the yoga of the intellect to experience myself to be with the Father, whether in the subtle world or in the incorporeal world. In a second, I will become a resident of the subtle region, in a second, I will become a resident of the incorporeal world and in a second, I will become a karma yogi, residing in the corporeal world performing actions. I will experience myself to be with the Father innumerable times in the subtle region and in the incorporeal world. As soon as I have time, I will leave to be with the Father.

Because of being free from bondage, I will experience myself to be a flying bird, flying very high. “Such souls will feel that they themselves are stable in an elevated stage above and everyone else is down below.“, explains Baba. “They experience themselves to be very high and constantly very light.” In other words, I experience myself to be beyond the attraction of the vices and the attraction of matter. I will constantly experience myself to be double-light. “At any given moment, while walking and moving“, Baba says, “you will feel that you are going with the Father, that you are flying with the Father, the Point, that you are a point, and both of you are going together.” Seeing through the eye of experience is even more clear than seeing through divine vision and so I will experience everything so clearly as though I am seeing it.

“Keep the present time constantly in your awareness“, Baba says. Don’t become so busy in service that you have even forgotten your home. When you are serving, you should remain aware that you have to take everyone back home with the Father. Then your stage will be constantly unshakeable in service. Never forget the experience of the essence, that is, the seed stage, while in the expansion of service. Don’t become lost in the expansion. While going into expansion, remain stable in the stage of the essence and also enable others to experience the form of the essence.
