Baba says, “Renounce the systems of this iron-aged world, opinions of society and family codes of conduct and observe the true codes of conduct.“
The customs and systems of the iron aged world are completely different from the customs of systems of the new world. It is said that knowledge is the day and ignorance is the night. People stumble around in the dark night.
The deities in the new world had a variety of systems and customs- this is based on the knowledge received at the present time from God, the Ocean of Knowledge. He comes at this time and gives Shrimat or the elevated code of conduct for every aspect of my life- from how to think, speak, act to my diet and lifestyle. This code of conduct when followed becomes ingrained into the soul and is what is naturally followed in the golden and silver ages. It is what is known as the original eternal deity religion. There, there is no knowledge but the reward of knowledge which is salvation– because I naturally follow the code of conduct inherited at this time from the Father, there is natural peace, love and harmony there. No trace of sorrow exists. It is heaven.
In that land, there was no need for gurus or advisors. A guru is one who grants salvation but because deities are already in salvation, there is no need for gurus. Also because deities are knowledge-full, there is no need for advisors either. Here, in the old world however, there are so many people who give advice; there are as many opinions as there are people and no one can seem to agree on what is the truth. When the kingdom of Ravan starts after half a cycle, because I become body conscious, I go from being knowledge-full to being ignorant. I go from being elevated to degraded, from pure to impure. I change from being worship-worthy to being a worshipper. Even then, at first, there is unadulterated worship of Shiva alone. They built temples to Him and then to Lakshmi and Narayan. When one person built a temple to Lakshmi and Narayan or Ram and Sita, another one did the same. Then, in the iron age, they have created images of Ganesh, Hanuman, Chandika devi etc. This, is the expansion of bhakti.
Then, there are so many scriptures and debates on which scripture is the most elevated. The Father says, “There are no scriptures on the path of knowledge. The Ocean of Knowledge reveals the secrets of the Creator and the creation, the beginning, middle and end.” To the extent I imbibe this knowledge, I will become elevated because this, is a study. In bhakti, there is singing, dancing, shows etc. They have gatherings wherein they relate stories. “Those stories are not knowledge; they are just man-made stories.“, explains Baba. This, He explains, is the story of the true Narayan, that is, the true story to become Narayan from an ordinary human. By listening to the stories of bhakti, there is no benefit but from listening to this story, I actually change from an ordinary human into Narayan. This is also the story of immortality because deities are immortal. On the path of bhakti, people go to the Lakshmi-Narayan temple: “Come let’s go and have a glimpse of the deities. Come, let’s go and have a glimpse of the mahatmas.” The custom and system has continued. They continue to bow down to the rishis and munis who existed in the past. However, despite all this trouble, when asked if they know the story of the Creator and the creation, they say that they don’t. There are many that come to the exhibitions and listen to the story very well but they don’t become pure. Why? Because they believe that the custom and system of indulging in vice is eternal. They sing in front of the idols: “You are completely viceless…” and yet, when they come outside, they say it is an eternal system to indulge in vice and ask how the world could continue without it!
While the householders perform devotion- they hold gatherings, sacrificial fires, make donations, perform charity, go on pilgrimages etc., sannyasis don’t do these things. They belong to the path of isolation. Their custom is to leave their homes and families, go live in the forest and remember the brahm element. They think of the brahm element as God. The people of Bharat originally belong to the original eternal deity religion but, because they live in Hindustan, they consider themselves to belong to the Hindu religion. In the same way, sannyasis consider the brahm element, the residence of souls, to be God. They believe that they will eventually merge into that element. The Father explains: “This is their false knowledge. No one can merge into that element. Souls are imperishable and so how could they merge into anything?!” Then, householders say that God will definitely come in one form or another and He will purify the impure. “So now, who is right?”, asks Baba, “those who believe God will come or those that believe that they can merge into the brahm element?“
Further, while the householders say that He will come and purify the impure, they don’t know how He would do it. The Father comes and teaches the knowledge and the pilgrimage of remembrance. Would He teach this through inspiration? People say that everything takes place through God’s inspiration, they can’t even imagine that God can come and become the Teacher and teach them. They simply sing songs in the temples- this is their custom but they don’t know the meaning of what they sing. They call the founder of their religion a guru but all the founder did was establish a religion. A guru is one who grants salvation. There is only one Guru and He is the Bestower of Salvation for All. The Father says, “A brother cannot give an inheritance to a brother. An inheritance is always received from a father. Only the one Father gives happiness and the inheritance to everyone.”
Another custom of the iron age is to feed brahmin priests etc. There is no such custom in the new world, explains Baba. No bodily being must be remembered now, He says. As much as possible, forget all those who have been and gone, as well as those who exist in the old world. Throughout the day, use your intellect to churn what to explain to everyone.
Devotees think that God comes because they called out to Him but God explains: “I don’t come because they have been calling out to Me; it is predestined in the drama. All the innumerable customs, systems, and beliefs that constitute today’s religion have to be destroyed and the one religion has to be established. The iron age has to be destroyed and the golden age has to be established. I come by Myself at My own time.” The Father comes and says: “Now remember Me, your Father and your inheritance. Remember your original deity religion.“
