Baba says, “You now have to become pure and become the masters of the pure world.“

The Father comes at the end of the cycle when His children have been taken hostage by Ravan, that is, by the five vices. He comes and introduces Himself to His children and shows them the path not just to liberation but to liberation-in-life. “You are not sannyasis, you are masters of the world“, He explains as He teaches me how to fight Ravan. Sannyasis leave their home and family and retreat to the forest- this is their method to become liberated from the world of sorrow. They believe the world to be the problem and so they choose to remain outside it, so to speak. God says, “That won’t work“. Not only does it not address the root cause but running away from family and responsibility is also a cowardly thing to do, He points out.

You are on a battlefield, He teaches me. You are in the spiritual army of the spiritual Father and you are an incognito warrior, fighting an incognito war against the five vices. The five vices are omnipresent at this time, He explains; they are within every single soul. They are the cause of all sorrow and suffering in the world. So to run away from family to a forest does me no good because this isn’t an external enemy I am trying to escape, rather this enemy is internal; I take him with me wherever I go. The root of even the fives vices is body consciousness, teaches the Father. Simply renounce body consciousness and you will become liberated..in life, He teaches, that is, I become liberated while still alive! In fact, for half the cycle, in the golden and silver ages, I was liberated-in-life. I lived a life of peace, love, happiness and prosperity…naturally. It wasn’t something I had to remember to do, there was no effort, I was naturally peaceful, loveful, happy and prosperous. “Peace and happiness are your natural nature“, explains the Father. “Your nature changed when you became impure. Now, become pure again.” The reason I became impure is because I changed from being soul conscious to body conscious.

I am a pure soul, a child of the Ever Pure One. However, half way through the cycle, I forgot who I was and started to identify as the body. In other words, I started to think of myself as a name, appearance, gender, status, title, nationality, education, relationships etc. When I thought of myself and everyone else as souls, there was sameness, there was unity, there was brotherhood. When I started to think of myself and others as bodies, there was difference, there disunity, there was competition, fighting, and battling. There was chasing, hustling, manipulating and snatching. “Your aim and objective is clear in front of you“, God teaches me. “It is now time in the cycle for the old iron age to end and the golden age to dawn again. There is no fighting or battling in the golden age.” Sannyasis perform difficult penance, devotees undertake pilgrimages, perform rituals etc. but God says, “You don’t use your hands or feet here; there are no pilgrimages or rituals. I give you no difficulty. Here, you have to break body consciousness. When living at home“, He teaches, “first of all, remember this: I am a soul, not a body.“

When I consider myself a soul and remember the Father, all my sins of not just this birth but of all previous births are cut away. I also don’t commit any new sins. This is easy Raja Yoga or easy remembrance that I learn from the Father every cycle. I don’t leave my home or family nor do I perform rituals; rather, I stay right where I am and simply remember who I am, Whose I am and the present time. This awareness automatically breaks my body consciousness and with that, the five vices are also chased away. “The vices are ghosts or evil spirits“, Baba tells me, “you have to chase them away through remembrance.” There are those in the world who are preparing items for destruction. They even say: “While sitting at home, we will destroy the whole world.” God teaches me Raja Yoga such that while sitting at home, I become the master of the world with the power of yoga. It is only once every 5000 years that God comes on to this physical stage to play His part in this unlimited drama, practically, alongside His children. In other words, I only have this one opportunity in 5000 years to learn Raja Yoga from Him and reclaim my lost sovereignty, my lost liberation-in-life. The Father says, “I get to come once every 5000 years; I come to remove you children from the depths of hell and take you into heaven. Spiritual children, will you not obey my directions? Will you not become the masters of the new world?” All I have to do is realize who I am, recognize the Father and then stay in that awareness of who and Whose. Limited sannyasis try to leave the world physically which is neither possible nor useful. God teaches me to become an unlimited sannyasi- I stay right where I am and renounce the wrong consciousness or the wrong lens through which I see the world. The moment I adjust my lens is the moment when I reclaim my sovereignty, my peace and happiness and become liberated in life.
