Baba says, “Put into practice the things that the Father teaches you. Do not just note them down on paper.”
God Himself becomes my Teacher at this most auspicious confluence age. He teaches me the study through which I attain liberation in life in a second. I had been in bondage for half a cycle and had continued to call out to the Father to release me from bondage. “Every child has a right to liberation-in-life. It is your Godfatherly birthright.“, He says. He has given me the knowledge, that is, He has given me the key. To use the key and release myself is up to me. It only takes a second.
Most children listen to the Murli, even note down the points in their books, sometimes is different colors – the points of yoga will be a certain color, the points of dharna in a different color etc. Some with an artistic bent draw cartoons to illustrate specific points from the Murli etc. But to study means not just to listen or note down or draw and color, it means that every version has to be put into my practical life. Otherwise, no matter how much I color or how well I recite the points or teach the course, it won’t matter in the end. Everyone has the same aim: to become number one and yet, everyone is numberwise. “You have to put your aim into your qualifications, this is where the gap is.“, explains Baba.
This is easy Raja Yoga, Baba tells me; there aren’t even many subjects in this study- I simply have to imbibe four. Besides, all four subjects are interrelated. If I imbibe every version of the very first subject of knowledge, then it cannot be that I don’t have yoga. And the whole knowledge is only of two words anyway, He points out. These are Creator and creation. To have clear understanding of the Father, the Creator means that the introduction of the Supreme Soul and the relationship with Him become clear. And the creation means: To know I am an elevated soul, my part in this elevated drama, throughout the entire cycle. Every child has this knowledge, however, to be an embodiment of an elevated soul and to play an elevated part at all times-“you sometimes remember this and you sometimes forget.“, points out Baba.
If I am an enlightened soul, then I definitely also a yogi soul; my awareness will definitely change and with that my thoughts, words, feelings, vision, attitude, face, behavior…everything will change. In other words, where there is knowledge and yoga, dharna happens automatically. And where there is dharna, every aspect of my being serves. To say something like: ‘They are knowledgeable, but their dharna is weak…’ does not make logical sense. I cannot be called an ‘enlightened’ soul, explains Baba. If my dharna is weak, that signifies that I also not a yogi soul but rather someone who ‘tries to have yoga’. A yogi means that I have a yogi life and a life is constant and it is natural. To be a yogi means I am embodiment of awareness constantly, naturally; it is my original nature.
However, if the sanskars of forgetfulness and weaknesses of half a cycle are my original nature, then my foundation of knowledge and yoga is still weak. The old sanskars then continue to create obstacles to my efforts. And no matter how much I wish to change, how much someone else tries to draw my attention to my weakness, I cannot seem to bring about transformation. I then say: “Yes, I know I shouldn’t have said that but my words are naturally like that; my tone of speaking is like that.” or ” No, I am not forceful, it’s just that my demeanor and behavior are official and serious.” Just as my ‘tone’ or ‘demeanor’ are a certain way, naturally; In the same way, when I have a gyani and yogi life, my face, behavior, tone of speaking, are all naturally yog-yukt and yukti-yukt. I don’t have to make effort for it.
So, teaches Baba, study the study, don’t just listen and note down the points. Study means to become an embodiment.
