Baba says, “Shiv Baba’s treasure-store is overflowing is always overflowing and it removes your sorrow and suffering.“
At this most auspicious confluence age, God Himself comes and gives the recognition of Himself. “I am Your Father and you are my child“, He tells me. I call Him ‘Baba’ which means that this is a family– I accept Him as my Father and make myself belong to Him as His child. In that instant, I become God’s heir to all of His property. By simply saying ‘Prabhu’ or ‘God’, I neither have the realization that He is my Father nor any awareness of the Father’s love or of His property. In fact to be a true Brahmin is to have this accurate awareness and faith that indeed we are Shiv Baba’s grandchildren through Brahma who is our father. I now belong to Baba’s home. I am being fed from Shiv Baba’s treasure store.
Perhaps I am in the household and have a job or business. To think that I am earning an income, that it is my money is to forget Who is getting everything done. It is to forget Who is in-charge. To think that this is my spouse, my child, my house etc., is to once again forget that I am the child, not a householder. Sure, I may be physically living in a household, have relationships, a job etc., but they are not ‘mine’, I am simply a trustee. Many are afraid to surrender in this way because they are afraid that God might take away all their wealth or children from them. But all the Father says is: “Children, keep it and look after everything as trustees.” God is not dependent on my wealth or children to get His task done! Let me realize that He is the Creator and the Bestower. He gives, does not take. When I consider everything as belonging to Shiv Baba, then everything becomes purified and it also makes life super easy.
When I consider myself a child or trustee, I get to simply follow directions for every aspect of my life. I don’t have to think, worry, or stress about ‘should I build this or not?”, “should I invest here or there?” etc. I simply ask Baba and then do as per His advice knowing that His advice for my life will always be the best. A clever businessman always makes this deal realizing that it is the best deal they can ever get: Everything that belongs to me belongs to the Father and everything that belongs to the Father belongs to me. If I consider what I give Him and what I receive in return, there is a huge difference. I give Him charge of my life which is to say, I give Him all the fear, and the insecurities, the need to manipulate and hustle, the desire to compete or win. I let Him take the headaches and in return He makes me into the master of the world!
When I make myself belong to Baba, then when I prepare a meal at home, it is also Brahma bhojan. The kitchen becomes Shiv Baba’s kitchen (bhandara). The whole home becomes His home, those whom I live with are all His children too and He is responsible for them, not me. In other words, once I surrender myself to Him, everything becomes Shiv Baba’s bhandara. But it has to be in that order- I surrender first and then He becomes responsible. If I simply think: “I am a Brahmin and so I am Shiv Baba’s child anyway”, that doesn’t cut it. I have to actually be the child, make myself belong to Him. I have to involve Him in every aspect of my life, follow His directions. To simply call myself a child but then live life according to my terms doesn’t work. It shouldn’t be that I spend money on wrong things, or needlessly. “This is money that you have to use to change human beings from worthless shells into valuable diamonds.“, He teaches me. “Whatever I have belongs to you“, He adds. “You will rule the kingdom. My part is such that I take away your worries and make you children happy. You continue to receive shrimat till the end.“
The Father’s shrimat is His treasure to which I have complete access when I belong to Him. I have complete access to God’s intellect! Previously, I didn’t know right from wrong, I didn’t know true from false. I was on my own, fending for myself and because I was operating off the vices, everything I did became wrong. Now, the Father is here, I am no longer on my own. As His child, I simply hold His hand and follow Him! “Every cycle, Baba comes and liberates you from Ravan’s kingdom and makes you happy.“, explains Baba. When God comes, there are so many false gods, gurus, pundits and scholars in Bharat. Every wife’s husband is said to be her guru. There are so many gurus! it’s a business. They make the wife have an agreement that her husband is everything to her and that she must follow his orders. An order is given and a kumari who was worthy of being worshipped becomes a worshipper. The second order is to use the sword of lust. Here, the Father says: “Children are heirs! Why should she have to fall at anyone’s feet!” There is so much difference! This return of my dignity and honor comes from Shiv Baba’s treasure store.
When I recognize the Father, I become the heir but it only when I actually make myself belong to the Father and follow His directions that I inherit His treasure store. “I have come to decorate you“, He tells me. I did not even in my wildest dreams see myself become the master of the world. I had assumed that this is what the world will always be like, that this is as good as it gets. But by following the Father’s shrimat, I become liberated from sorrow and become the master of the world. The Father says: “You must fully exchange the vices for the diamonds and jewels from Baba’s treasure store. If you don’t make the exchange, you cannot be decorated.“
