Spiritual royalty

Baba says, “A special soul is one who gives the experience of the sparkle and intoxication of spiritual royalty through his behavior.”

In the whole cycle, no one is as royal as me, Baba explains. How so? Because my royalty is the royalty of purity. “Neither has there been, nor will there be such a completely pure soul in the entire cycle.”, He says. This is the specialty of purity, and this is why people only sing this praise in front of the deity souls: “You are completely viceless”. They don’t sing this praise for the righteous souls of any other religion. This is the attainment of the method of complete purity. Check, says Baba, to what extent you have imbibed such royalty of purity.

The most elevated sign of spiritual royalty, Baba explains, is truth, just as the original form of the soul is truth. This is also the praise of the Father that God is Truth, the Benefactor, the most Beautiful One. Truth is never made up or mixed up with anything. Whether in words, actions, or relationships and connections, there is nothing made up or mixed. In plain words, this is honesty. ‘Royal souls’ means that their attitude, vision, words and activities will be true. It isn’t that I would have one thing in my attitude and some other intention in my words. This is not called truth or royalty. “If you don’t have this sign, then understand that you don’t have the royalty of purity yet or you don’t have it fully.”, explains Baba.

The second sign of royalty is that because there is truth, the soul continues to dance. True souls will constantly continue to dance in happiness, there happiness will not lessen in certain scenarios and rise in others. Any moment of any day, their happiness is always increasing. “So, the meaning of royalty is that you will be constantly cheerful in your heart and also in your features- not just external cheerfulness, but cheerfulness even in your heart.”, explains Baba. Often, though, the heart is not cheerful but externally, I show a smiling face. This is not truth or royalty, explains Baba. “Royalty means that you should have a permanently cheerful heart and cheerful face. Check yourself“, He teaches, “don’t begin to check others, but check yourself.

The third sign of royalty is that such souls will be detached and loving. In the world, one becomes attracted toward someone for whom there is lot of love. This, however, is not love but rather, it is attachment which ties me in bondage with strings of expectations, and desires. The sign of real and royal love, Baba teaches, is that the more love I have, the more detached I will be. Therefore, I don’t develop extra attachment for others nor do others develop attachment for me. This, Baba teaches, is known as real love, perfect love. I will be cheerful, and this cheer will also attract others but not in a limited way; not in a way that ties one in bondage. So, the sign of one who is real and royal, Baba explains, is deep love and great detachment.

Another specialty of royalty is that I will not have the sanskar of asking for anything, be it physical or subtle. Why? Because a royal soul is always complete, full. One is to be full, externally, full with physical things and the other is to be full in the mind. One who is full in the mind will never feel themselves to be lacking in anything, says Baba, even is they are not full with physical things. Even if something is not there, they will experience there to be enough. But no matter how full a soul may be with physical things, if their mind is not full, they will never consider themselves to be full. They constantly sing: “I want, I want” because of desires or they sing, “this should happen, that should be done, that should be received, this should change.” They are never satisfied or content. When I am full in the mind, my song is: “I have found, I have attained.” To say, “this should happen, that should be done” etc., Baba explains, are the sanskars of royal asking. To think about what needs to be done for unlimited service is something different but to have the thought of wanting for a limited attainment for the self- that, Baba explains, is royal asking or begging. The desire for name, for respect, for honor, for love, to want to be consulted- all these are limited desires. “A royal soul does not even have a trace of the Sanskar of asking”, teaches Baba. “So, check“, He says, “if you are ignorant of even the name of desire.

Finally, both the face and activity of a royal soul will give the experience of the manners of truth. In fact, royal souls are known as the goddesses of manners. Their speaking, their walking, their eating and drinking, sitting and standing, their every action will automatically reveal the manners (sabhyata) and the truth (satyata). “It shouldn’t be”, Baba explains, “that you prove the truth, and yet you don’t have any manners.” Many children say, “I don’t normally get angry, but when someone tells lies, I get angry.” Some others say, “I don’t get angry, but my voice is sharp”. This is not royalty nor is it truth, says Baba. If there aren’t manners, there isn’t truth. The royalty of purity should constantly be visible externally. To say that I have royalty or truth inside but it’s just that it’s not visible to others, is false, says Baba. If there is royalty, it cannot remain hidden, it will be visible.

So, check, He says, to what extent the royalty of purity is practical in your life. Those with spiritual royalty are special souls and they remain seated on the heart-throne of the Father.
