Baba says, “Whatever act is being played out in the whole world, it is predestined in the drama. Both the effort and the reward are fixed within it.”
This is a stage. This stage can also be called the field of action for all human beings. Everyone has to perform actions, that is, everyone has to play their part. Every soul has received a part in advance. “This drama is eternal and it is pre-destined“, Baba explains. There isn’t a time when the drama is not running. When one showing ends, a new showing begins with each showing lasting 5000 years. The first 2500 years – the world is heaven with a few souls, 900K to begin with increasing to 330M toward the end. Souls are deities, that is, human beings with divine sanskars. Everyone thinks, speaks and acts in a divine manner, there is peace, happiness and prosperity; not even a trace of sorrow. Then the second half of the cycle, the same world which was heaven slowly degrades into hell. Why? Because the souls who were with divine qualities lose their divinity and become degraded. They become overinvolved in the world and forget themselves. Their thinking, speaking and acting become corrupted by the vices and so as they become vicious, so does the world. The population steadily grows too and soon there isn’t enough to go around; there is competition, hustle, jealousy, anger, bitterness leading to war, there is exploitation of nature leading to natural calamities, there is mental distress leading to physical illnesses. In short, there is self-destruction.
But just like in any good story, there is a climactic scene where the superhero comes to save the world. Here too, God, the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, comes onto the stage to play His part in the play. He finds and reminds those deity souls of who they truly are, how they once ruled over the world as deities, He reminds them of their original qualities and explains what caused them to lose their divinity. With His help, these souls regain their true consciousness and with that, the world too is once again restored to it’s original glory, to being heaven again.
So do all the souls who are on stage at the end of the play come into heaven? No. Only those souls who were in heaven come back into heaven, the other souls who came onto the stage later in the story, go home, to the soul world, the land of liberation, where they remain until it’s their time to enter the story. “This is a play, remember?“, says Baba. Once the movie is shot, nothing can be changed. Every time the movie is shown, it runs the same amount of time, has the same actors playing the same roles in the same way, entering the story at the same time. Some ask why God created such a drama. God says, “I did not create the drama, it is eternal and predestined.” Many in the world believe that predestination means that God chooses who gets to go to heaven and who doesn’t but that cannot possibly be true. That would go against the nature of who God is, making Him selective. No. God says, “All souls are My children. Everyone has an equal right to the kingdom, to the inheritance.” It isn’t that God discriminates or chooses certain souls, rather, each soul already has their part recorded within them, it is predestined. God does not create souls, make certain souls a certain way and leave others out. Souls, the Supreme Soul and this world always exist with each soul, including God, bound to play their pre-destined parts in the unlimited drama of the world.
When I understand predestination, I realize that everyone is blameless because everyone is simply playing their parts in the drama. So when I find that some souls simply don’t want to receive the knowledge of the beginning, middle and end of the world or that they don’t believe that God is here, no matter how hard I try, I don’t become frustrated or judge them or condemn them; I realize that this is not part of their part in the drama. “Only a handful out of multi-millions recognize Me when I come to play My role in the drama.“, says Baba. I am one of those handful of souls, do I realize the true extent of this fortune!? Most of the world doesn’t even know God or that He is here now but I get to experience Him as my Mother and Father, as my Teacher and Guide. He becomes my Best Friend and Companion. This is my predestined part in the drama. It’s not something I earned or won, it’s just my eternal, predestined part. When I recognize this, I don’t act ‘holier than thou’ around others or turn up my nose at the world; instead, I become humble, and serve others. I realize that according to the drama, I might be the closest those around me come to God. I pay attention to how I show up.
In terms of self effort, I constantly remain in the awareness of the lottery I have won by having God Himself become my Father, Teacher and Guide. I make myself belong to Him completely– I become the true child, and student. I learn, observe and imbibe at every moment. I don’t want to miss anything He is teaching me because I know how rare and precious this opportunity is. God is here to help me reclaim my lost sovereignty by helping me re-emerge those divine qualities that are deep within me. He isn’t giving me divine qualities or certain super powers, then He would have to give them to all; He simply helps me re-emerge what is already in my part. God does not discriminate, He is the Teacher. His knowledge is for all, as the Father, His love and sustenance is for all. Some souls receive it based on their predestined part and others don’t.
Similarly, situations come to all but when I have made myself the child of the Father, I don’t stumble and fall trying to figure things out for myself, I don’t run from pillar to post anxious and worried. I remain at rest because I know and experience the Father taking care of things. This rest is my birthright. As His student, I also have the knowledge that every scene in the drama that comes to me is useful to me in my journey, that it has something I need to move forward to my destination. I know that the Father is showing me something and I get busy learning. This education is my inheritance. But when I haven’t recognized the Father and become the child and student, I am on my own…not because the Father discriminates but because, according to my predestined part, I cannot recognize Him or experience Him. “A child is an heir. In what way would the Father help you if you did not become His child?“, He explains. Even as His child, I experience His help to the extent that I surrender my will to Him. If I remember that He is my Father when I am in trouble and live life per my terms the rest of the time, then despite having recognized Him, I remain deprived of His sustenance, His love, guidance and companionship.
Some say: “Why should I be blamed? I am already doing what I can, it must not be part of the drama for me to make more effort.” God says: “You called out to Me to come and take you away from the world of sorrow. I have now come. Therefore, you should listen to Me, should you not? You are receiving good directions, you should take them, should you not?” This is God playing His role as the Father without discrimination. He doesn’t look at a soul and say, “Let Me not waste My time with this one, they are not going to fully understand anyway“, no. The Father loves all His children equally, serves each one tirelessly, to the fullest of His ability. That is His nature, according to the drama. How much I take is based on my part in the drama. The Father says, “I am the Father of all souls. You must continue to give everyone this message. There must and will not be anyone who doesn’t receive this message. Everyone has a right to hear this message and everyone will also claim an inheritance from the Father. Since they are children of the Father, they should at least hear something.” While some become happy on hearing the knowledge and understand it, some others aren’t able to pick up as much because they are trapped in their own karmic bondages. It is not anyone’s fault, it is predestined in the drama.
This is a variety drama, explains Baba. It is predestined that no two people can play the same part. It is called the unlimited, predestined, wonderful drama. You need a vast, unlimited intellect in order to understand the secrets of this drama. But, He says, even if you don’t understand anything else, just keep one thing in your intellect: I belong only to Shiv Baba and none other. While you act with your hands, continue to remember the Father with your intellect.
