Baba says, “Wherever you serve, spread such spiritual vibrations that everyone is easily attracted by the influence of those vibrations.“
This is the land of sorrow, Baba reminds me daily. He is here to transform this land of sorrow into a land of happiness and I am His helper in this task. Today, everyone experiences sorrow of some kind- whether in health, relationships, finances, or something else. So it isn’t enough, Baba says, to serve at an ordinary pace anymore, there has to be intensity. “According to the present time, you have to do three types of service at one time, that is, through your thoughts, words and deeds.“, He teaches. “Through your mind, give an experience. Through your words, share the knowledge. Through your face and activity, give an experience of the yogi life. You have to do all three types of service at the same time, not individually. There is little time and a lot of service to do.“
The easiest method for service is to create vibrations through my attitude and create the atmosphere through my vibrations, because the attitude is the most powerful method of all. When my attitude changes, my feelings change, my vision changes and with that, my entire worldview changes. For example, if someone has an anger issue, if my attitude toward them is: “This one will never change. What does he think of himself..” then, the moment I see them or even think of them, my whole demeanor changes. My mood sours, and my muscles become tense. The whole atmosphere becomes heavy and heard to be in. On the other hand, if my attitude is: “This one has such a good heart, he helps out so much. Yes, he has that anger issue but am sure, he will beat it too. Then, there’s no stopping him..”, then instead of a sour mood and tense muscles, I have a smile on my face, a happy and light heart and the atmosphere is also, as a result, light and positive. When my attitude is negative, it’s as if my brain locks down and I can’t think or function properly. But when I remain light, I continue to function well without missing a beat.
If someone has betrayed me or I’ve been hurt in some way, often my argument is: “But how can I be expected to forget what they did!”. I think the other person doesn’t deserve forgiveness. But by holding on to unforgiveness, it is as if I am drinking poison expecting the other person to die! More often than not, they have moved on, may not even care but I am stuck. Unforgiveness is the most often used gate by Maya to enter and shut me down. So, is the alternative then to deny any wrongdoing, act like nothing happened? Baba says, “It is good to understand wrong from right. Consider wrong to be wrong and right to be right, this is called being knowledge-full. However, don’t keep the wrong in your heart.” By letting it take root in my heart, I poison my own attitude and feelings. At this confluence age, my job is to prepare myself for the golden age and help God get the message of His coming out to my brothers. I cannot accomplish either of these tasks if I am stuck. Let me not trade off my fortune over trivial matters. Let me recognize that these are nothing but distractions that Maya brings my way.
“Always remember“, teaches Baba, “that someone who has become BapDada’s child, each and every child, the specialty of the drama and blessing from BapDada is that, even if a child has 99 defects, he definitely has one specialty and with that specialty, he has the right to say, “My Baba!”. He may be influenced, but he would still have unbroken love for the Father. This is why, now, according to the closeness of time, it is necessary for every place and every companion to have an atmosphere of elevated attitude.” Even if someone gives me bad wishes, to be God’s helper means that I continue to give them good wishes. Even if someone does something against shrimat, I don’t judge them but continue to maintain good wishes and pure feelings for them. “Just remember one word: blessings.”, says Baba. “The easiest effort is to give blessings and receive blessings.” Even today, in my last birth, He explains, devotees go the temples and receive blessings from the non-living idols. How? Because, He explains, “You have repeatedly become those who have given blessings in this way.”
When it comes to receiving credit for something, or receiving praise or a prize, everyone wants to be first. “Say “I first” in this“, He teaches. Create such an atmosphere that whoever comes in front of you will be able to take a little love and co-operation and experience forgiveness, courage, co-operation and zeal and enthusiasm. This, is the call of the present time.
