Baba says, “You children are towers of peace and happiness.”
In today’s world, the most essential thing, Baba says, is peace and so He, the Ocean of Peace, comes to liberate souls from peacelessness and take them to the land of peace. “You are My helper“, He tells me, “you too are a bestower of peace. Don’t you hear the cries of your brothers?” No matter how much people try to attain peace with perishable wealth or means, they cannot attain true imperishable peace with that. Some people try to attain peace through retreats, or vacations atop mountains or beside the ocean, others through devotion. Then there are those that believe that if they accumulate enough wealth or attain that degree, they will be at peace. “Although today’s world is wealthy and has all the facilities, it is still a beggar of imperishable and permanent peace”, teaches Baba. “You souls who are master bestowers of peace, treasures of peace and embodiments of peace have to give a drop of peace to such souls who are beggars of peace and quench their thirst and fulfill their desire for peace.”
Through the means of science, people reach so many places, invent so many things. They are able to change day into night and night into day, they are able to bring rain where there is no rain, push back the oceans and build skyscrapers to live in. However, they are unable to attain their own original religion of peace. To the extent that they chase after peace, they have a temporary attainment of peace and then, there is just peacelessness again. Everyone has to return from that vacation, and no matter how much wealth one attains, the moment I see someone else with a little more, I lose my peace again. I get back into the chase for more. Not just that, but there is the constant fear of losing what I have.
Imperishable peace is God’s birthright for every soul. Unfortunately, most souls are making so much effort to attain that which is their birthright. It is theirs and they can have it in a second but because they don’t have the knowledge of who they are, and of the Father, they continue to stumble so much even to attain the attainment of a second; they are calling out, shouting in distress. “Give the drishti (vision) of brotherhood to your brother souls who are wandering around for peace. Their whole world will be changed with this drishti.“, teaches Baba. However, for this to be true, that is, in order for my drishti to be that of brotherhood, of true love, filled with peace, I myself have to first be that embodiment of peace. If I myself am still caught up in the race for more, if I myself tremble at the smallest crisis because I don’t experience the Father’s presence in my life, if I myself lose my peace and happiness when my expectations of people are not met, then, I cannot be a helper in the Father’s task.
It’s quite simple: A peaceless person cannot bring peace in the world. A peaceless person cannot give others the experience of peace. The stealers of peace are the questions of “why”, “what”, “when” and “how”. To be caught up in “why is this happening to me?”, “when will my circumstance change?”, “how will this work? Will it happen?” etc., is to lose my peace. “You have the knowledge“, Baba reminds me. Knowledge means understanding. When I truly have understood and imbibed the knowledge, then no matter what happens, I don’t have questions because I already have the answers in advance. To be able to imbibe the knowledge, I have to have a deep connection with the Teacher. He is extremely subtle and the knowledge is equally subtle. Unless I am tuned in, I will not be able to see what the Teacher is showing me, what He is trying to make me realize. When I am tuned in, I understand how the Teacher teaches, I understand His ways and methods. I don’t see the situation as something bad. Rather, I see within it the critical lesson I need to learn to move forward on my journey. When it seems as if nothing is happening, I don’t doubt if God is working in my life or not. Rather, I know and experience how God does His best and most important work in those periods of silence. When there is a lack of clarity about which route to take, of what to do, I don’t panic, worry or stress about it, I use my special computer- the computer of Father Brahma. His life is the practical example of what to do and what not to. There is no situation or circumstance that comes to me that did not first come to Father Brahma. All I have to do is simply do what he did; I don’t even have to think, simply follow.
“Are you able to give the introduction of the religion of the self in a second and stabilize your brothers in their original form?“, asks Baba. When I am an embodiment of true and permanent peace, then I cannot help but give others this introduction. My entire being- my thoughts, my attitude and thereby my vision, face, words and behavior all reflect peace and tranquility. Other feel truly comfortable and at rest in my company. They find strength and courage and enthusiasm that they too want what I have attained. “You are incarnations of peace“, says Baba. “Together with the Father, all of you children are also fulfilling the desires of many births of all souls- to find peace.“
