Baba says, “If you want to know about supersensuous joy, ask the gopes and gopis who attained this stage.”

The specialty of the Brahmin birth that doesn’t exist in any other birth is that, while in all other births souls take birth through souls, it is only in this Brahmin birth that I take birth directly to the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul. The virtues of the Father Himself are my virtues, His powers are my powers. I cannot have these virtues in any birth other than this Brahmin birth. And yet, if I cannot remain happy and intoxicated experiencing the specialties of Brahmin life, then Baba asks, “What have you done by becoming a Brahmin?” Constantly check, He says, if you are truly living a Brahmin life.

We all have experienced supersensous joy, but it is not constant; it comes and goes. The reason I cannot experience this joy constantly is because Maya wages war again and again. The reason Maya is able to wage war is because the foundation of purity is weak. It is said that purity is the mother of peace and happiness. However, purity doesn’t just mean celibacy, complete purity is purity is my vision, attitude, in every thought, word, and action. So, if there is a lack of joy, then it indicates that purity is weak in one or another area, it doesn’t remain unshakeable in that area.

“You have a lot of knowledge, you have become bestowers of the method of yoga, you are very clever when it comes to talking about the subject of dharna and you are also ahead of one another in doing service. But“, He says, “you become careless in just one thing- transforming yourselves from wasteful thinking, seeing, speaking and doing by putting a full-stop in a second.” I even understand that this weakness brings about a difference in experiencing happiness, it becomes an obstacle to being an embodiment of power and in becoming equal to the Father. Still, I am unable to transform myself, I am unable to put a full-stop. Instead, I put a comma in the case of the self-i.e. I defer to later or put an exclamation point on seeing others, “Can this too happen!?”, “Should it be like this, isn’t this against Shrimat!?” It seems I use every other punctuation mark other than the full-stop.

I can only apply a full-stop when I have the awareness of being a dot, and of the Father being the Dot. Sometimes, I even repeat to myself – “I am a soul, I have to stop this wasteful thinking” but Maya repeatedly makes other people or something that’s happened appear on the screen of my mind. Due to this, the soul becomes hidden and the person or incident appears again and again. The reason Maya is able to do this is because I lack controlling power or self-control. “You know very well how to control others, but you don’t know how to control yourself as well, that is, how to use your power to transform yourself.“, points out Baba.

While I am constantly surprised at others’ behavior, when it comes to transforming myself or tolerating or accommodating something, my attitude is: “Why is it that I have to die all the time? Why do I have to change every time. I am the one that has to tolerate each time.” I think such thoughts or make such statements because of not being in the awareness of who I am, Who is telling me and what He is making me. Unless I surrender myself to God completely, He cannot change me. But when I do, I firstly, receive blessings from myself- because I experience happiness and that is blessing the self. Secondly, from the Father and thirdly from the Brahmin family. Meera didn’t have to be told to forgive or let go, she did it herself with happiness because she didn’t want anything coming between her and the Beloved. Where there are other matters, there cannot be the remembrance of the Father and His attainments. And so letting go, tolerating, accommodating- this dying alive is a good death because it is attaining.

In the spiritual path, explains Baba, consider the word ‘change’ to mean moving forward. Don’t take it to mean you have to change yourself but take it as making progress. So, He teaches, increase your efforts of putting a full-stop and with controlling power, bring about transformation at a fast speed.
