Baba says, “this is the new tree of you Brahmins. You have to look after it well and make it grow because sparrows eat a new tree.”

This is a study, Baba reminds me daily. The aim and objective is clear – it is to become Lakshmi and Narayan, the rulers of the sun dynasty kingdom. God Himself teaches me this study, no human being could possibly teach me such an elevated study with such a high aim. Only the Creator of the sun dynasty kingdom could teach me how to become the ruler of the kingdom. God comes at this most auspicious confluence age and becomes my Teacher as well as my Guide who guides me at every step. But it is up to me, the student, to study well and pass with honors. A teacher can teach really well but if the student doesn’t put in their effort, then no matter how much the teacher does, the student cannot pass with honors. There is no question of asking for mercy or blessings in this, explains Baba. “Do students wash the feet of their teacher and then drink that water?“, asks Baba. That doesn’t help at all, only studying well does. In fact, it is the only way.

“But when souls don’t understand the wonderful secrets of knowledge that the Father explains, they have doubts in their minds. This is why new leaves wilt and they stop studying.”, teaches Baba.

I become a child of God, a Brahmin, and think that somehow everything will now be according to my will. I will have no more problems, no situations will come to me, and I will get all the desires of my heart. Because I don’t recognize the Father and His role accurately, I develop these wrong notions of what it means to be His child and when things inevitably don’t pan out as I had expected, I develop doubts and leave. God never told me that storms won’t come; in fact, He said that storms will come. But He did promise me that He would walk through those storms with me. That He would use that storm to make me stronger, build my character up, increase my faith. He assured me that He would walk through the fire with me and use that fire to burn away all the strings of bondage and bring me out unscathed. In Bhakti, My role was to show you mercy, give you the return for your devotional feelings but now, Baba reminds me, My role is that of the Purifier. I purify you of all the wrong sanskars, the impure bondages, the attachments. I help you rid yourself of the ego that isolates and damages you. I help you return to your original state because originally, you were deity souls. Do I believe this wonderful secret of knowledge the Father reveals to me about who I am and about His role? Because unless I do, I won’t study.

“It takes courage to study to become part of the sun dynasty“, says Baba. Indeed, the study is not for the faint hearted. It is hard to come face to face with my own hidden darkness that the Father shows me. It is also hard to do the things that the Father asks me to do. For example, He asks me to forgive that person that hurt me badly. He asks me to let go of that insult and help that person. He teaches me patience, He teaches me tolerance, He teaches me humility- all tough lessons that take courage to learn. But when I lack that courage, I develop doubt in the study itself and say things like: “How could God possibly ask me to forgive them after all they did to me!…If God really cared about me, He would never ask me to do this…”, “How come I have to put up with this behavior while they get away with it every time…”, “Why do I have to be the one to understand every time…why can’t God get them to change first…”, “If God is really with me, then why is this happening to me…” etc. “This is the new tree of you Brahmins. You have to look after it well and make it grow because sparrows eat a new tree.“, explains Baba. The sparrows of doubt peck at my intellect and I either come to a standstill or worse, leave the study altogether.

“This is most unfortunate“, observes Baba. I have found the Fortune-Maker Himself and I leave the study that allows me to make multi-millions at every step. In those worldly studies, I have to finish studying in order to start earning, but here, I can start earning during my study. Also the earning based on worldly study is just for a short period during this one birth whereas the income from this study lasts me for the whole cycle! When students cannot afford to pay for their worldly study, they are forced to leave but they don’t defame the study as a result of that. But here, Baba observes, students leave because they lack the courage to imbibe the knowledge and then they blame the study itself. When others who knew them ask: “You claimed that God was teaching you, that through this study humans change into deities, what happened?”, they say that God isn’t teaching it, that there is no way anyone can claim a kingdom through this study, that these are all lies etc. Not only do I turn away my brothers and sisters from their Father but even Brahmins who see me might become disheartened or discouraged too. A lot of disservice takes place all around starting with the disservice I do to myself. “If you defame the name of the clan you will have to endure a great deal of punishment. Such a person is called one who defames the name of the Satguru.“, explains Baba. It isn’t that these children didn’t have faith to begin with, acknowledges Baba, but then the sparrow of Maya is such that one minute they have faith in their intellect and the next minute, they have doubt. The saying: ‘A loving intellect at the time of destruction leads to victory and a doubtful intellect leads to destruction‘ applies to this time. So be careful and remain alert, He cautions.

A great way to take care of my sapling, so to speak, is to spin the discus of self-realization in my intellect constantly. This helps to keep my intellect loving. The discus becomes the weapon with which I fend off Maya/Ravan. They try to make me forget and become doubtful, but with the discus, I stay awake and aware and thereby, become victorious. “You understand that you received limitless treasures through the Mother and Father. You have now found that Mother and Father once again. They are giving you many treasures of happiness.“, explains Baba. There are many children, He says further. Those of you who listen through the mother and father experience happiness. In fact, He says, you should have happiness from the tip of your toes to the top of your head. This is proof that you are studying well and that you realize deeply that there is no one in the whole world as fortunate as you.
