The Enemy

Humility and arrogance are enemies.

Where there is arrogance, there cannot possibly be humility.
And where there is humility,
there cannot possibly be arrogance.

If you have dislike, hatred or jealousy for anyone,
you can’t have humility.

If you have the attitude of give me, give me, give me,
or the feeling that no one should touch anything of yours,
you will not be able to develop humility.

If you have the habit of pointing the finger at others, saying:
‘This one is doing this…this one is doing that…
they should be doing this…they should be doing that’,
then you can’t develop humility.

If you have the desire to receive respect from others,
you can’t be humble.
