Baba says, ‘At present, Brahmins are true spiritual social workers.’
In social service, people give others one or another facility. They serve them in one way or another- through giving food and water, accommodation, clothes etc. There are many in the world that do this kind of charitable work and it is very helpful. But while this kind of charity helps a person sustain themselves physically, it doesn’t help them spiritually. In other words, the support is temporary.
God comes at this auspicious confluence age to give souls the injection of knowledge and remembrance. Through this injection, I, the soul become a self-sovereign i.e. I, the soul stand on my own two feet. While physical charity helps people physically, it doesn’t enable them to be peaceful, happy or content. It helps them survive but doesn’t go as far as to help them thrive. For that, I first need the foundation of identity and belonging; I need to know who I am and Whose I am. For half a cycle I was aware of who I am, then I forgot. It’s when I forgot that things went wrong, I became dependent from independent and what’s worse, I became dependent on Ravan. He took away all my inheritance from me and made me, the soul, bankrupt.
The Father comes at this time and reminds me once again of who I am. He gives me His own introduction and makes me belong to Him, practically. I am always a child of God but at this time, He comes to earth, takes the support of a body and sustains me as my Father. The one whom He enters, through whose body He adopts me also becomes my father. So I am sustained by two fathers! God comes not just as my Father but also as my Teacher and Satguru. He also becomes my Friend, my Beloved and my Companion. He says, ‘I will fulfill all your relationships. Remember Me in whatever relationship you want with a lot of love.’ When I make Him my world, His love works as the alchemy that heals the broken heart and makes it whole again, His companionship gives the soul back it’s courage, strength and confidence. His forgiveness and mercy empowers and inspires me to be my best.
Baba says, ‘now, it’s your turn‘. What He gives to me, He expects to see flow through me. As a spiritual social worker, I have to keep the aim, Baba instructs, that I have to give all souls who come into contact with you, one or another virtue, or one or another point of knowledge or one or another treasure that I have received from the Father. According to the drama, most of my brothers and sisters will not experience God directly like I do; I might be the closest they get to God. How am I showing up? Baba says, ‘service is the duty of Brahmins. At this time you are the true spiritual social workers. No one apart from you can give souls the injection.’ Souls might even have all they need and more physically but they are still crying out for even just a little drop of true soul conscious love, for peace, for contentment. ‘Do you not hear their cries?’, asks Baba.
‘Serve everyone with this spiritual social service‘, He says, ‘no one should go away empty-handed. They should go back with something because’, He reminds me, ‘you are the child of the Bestower. This spiritual social service has to spread in all directions, using whatever method needed so that it emerges from everyone’s lips that they have received attainment, that they are full.‘ When that colleague at work loses their temper, can I give them the donation of peace? When my family member comes home tired, rather than add to their tiredness through nagging, can I give them understanding? When that boss leaves me out of meetings, rather than hold a grudge, can I forgive and maintain good wishes anyway?
‘You, the soul, have received the knowledge of the beginning, middle and end of the drama‘, Baba reminds me. You know that this world was heaven for half a cycle, then there were every few souls and they were deities. Everyone was naturally virtuous because they were soul conscious. Now, it is Ravan’s kingdom, it is the old world and no one is virtuous! Everyone has been made impure and corrupt by Ravan. He is the real enemy of Bharat and of souls, not each other. And so Baba says, ‘be the true lionesses, conquer the five vices and make Bharat into heaven once again. This is the most elevated service.’ I conquer the vices by choosing virtue at every step- peace when I come face to face with anger, forgiveness rather than bitterness, tolerance rather than rejection.
You are the Shaktis who take power from Shiv Baba and make Bharat pure again, He reminds me. This is why there are so many temples to the Shaktis! This is why Brahmins are even more elevated than deities because you become the Father’s true helpers at this time, you become true spiritual social workers. What do social workers do? They remove other people’s sorrow and make them happy. They help people physically, whereas you put people’s heads right.
